Let's peel back these layers!

juliannlaw Here is a closeup of the endpapers in my debut picture book, THE WORKD’S LONGEST SOCK. I work digitally in Adobe Photoshop but the program doesn’t do it all for me! I knit all the pixels by hand! Haha! I do have things I do to help me work quickly and efficiently, though, like using layers. Here you get to see me take off those layers one by one till we are back at nothing but a background. The World's Longest Sock is now available on  Amazon ,  Barnes and Noble ,  Target , or wherever you  buy books !

can you dance?

Emmie and I stayed home sick from church one day and I thought I'd catch her on video without her big sis around. This is one of those sweet everyday moments you just want to hold on to forever. . . and then I had to say something. I didn't know I'd ruined the video until I watched it weeks later when I downloaded it. I ruined the video and ruined the moment with my creepy voice. Just watch.

Not a creepy voice at all. A voice that totally gives her something to think about. Isn't it funny to see their progression of recognizing themselves in the mirror. I always test my little niece.

haha, I can so relate to this...I hate hearing myself on the videos I take of the kids! The worst is when I'm quiet the whole time until the very end...and then it's even creepier!
