Let's peel back these layers!

Image
juliannlaw Here is a closeup of the endpapers in my debut picture book, THE WORKD’S LONGEST SOCK. I work digitally in Adobe Photoshop but the program doesn’t do it all for me! I knit all the pixels by hand! Haha! I do have things I do to help me work quickly and efficiently, though, like using layers. Here you get to see me take off those layers one by one till we are back at nothing but a background. The World's Longest Sock is now available on  Amazon ,  Barnes and Noble ,  Target , or wherever you  buy books !

if you give a 3 year old a camera

Lucy likes to do things together. Whatever she's doing, she wants me to be right there doing it with her. And whatever I'm doing, she has to be doing. Lately, if I have the camera out and want to take some pictures, she wants a turn too. So I put the strap around her neck and let her shoot whatever she wants.
So you end up with unusual camera angles and unique perspectives and, even more rare, pictures of me!
I took this one of Emmie, but its too cute not to post.

So funny! We've downloaded many pictures onto our computer, come to find many surprise ones as well. One time there were a bunch of pics Tanner took of Max trying to reach the cookies in the closet. I really like the one Lucy took of Emmie in the green chair. Emmie looks like a little doll in the corner of the picture. Love it.

I think you need to let Lucy play photographer more often! It's nice seeing you on your blog, although I'm certainly not one to talk... I rarely show up on my own blog, either. Maybe I'll give my kids the camera.

Wow, she has some talent!!! You should get her a kiddie camera -- E has one and loves it.
She is beautiful. Usually all you see is the hair. Put a hat on her and you see those big eyes. I keep coming back to look at this picture.
