The project my daughters did with me!

Here's something I'm rather proud of. . . I have raised two successful babysitters. When they were starting out babysitting, I was as nervous as they were! What if something happens? Will they have to cook? What if the kids are hard to handle? I went over instructions with them right until they walked out the door. I canceled my plans and stayed home in case they called for help. When they got home, I'd want all the details and then go over what to do for next time. They got better and better with each job and my nerves calmed down when I realized they were great babysitters who knew how to keep kids safe AND have fun with them at the same time. Hearing from friends and neighbors what awesome babysitters my daughters are made me so proud!   But now they are getting older and getting different jobs, and spending more weekend nights with friends rather than babysitting, they're ready to pass the torch on to younger babysitters. busy bee




Here is our busy little bee. . . she was struttin' around like she knew she was pretty cute until she saw herself in the mirror and then she bawled. I'm not sure what upset her. The last pic, she's checking out the cakes in the cake auction. . . I made the one that looks like a mega oreo. All I can say is, I don't skimp on the frosting. Happy Halloween!

I love the bee costume.. excellent job! As for that huge oreo - all I can say is does it come with a ginormous glass of milk? Yum!

CUTE COSTUME! CUTE KID!! I love it. I love how it is a little dress. Such a fun/scary holiday for a child. (actually any age)

Lucy the Lady Bug, Lucy the Bumble Bee... I'm looking foward to what kind of insect she'll dress up as next year! She looks so darn cute! I love the wings!

hospital buddies

Remember Lucy's hospital doll she named Birdie ? Well, we had a service project with the children's group at church a couple weeks ago and made a bunch of dolls just like Birdie to donate to Primary Children's Medical Center. They will go to future patients there and hopefully bring the same amount of love and comfort Birdie brought to Lucy. At our activity, we had 12 kids who stuffed, stitched, hemmed and dressed a total of 34 dolls! Patterns for dolls and robes can be found here: Doll A , Doll B , Robe A , Robe B . Download all four.
