Graduation and Teacher Gift Printables - End of the School Year Goodies!

 Here it is, Maycember! Once the month of May starts it quickly snowballs into a continuous stream of concerts, recitals, final games, awards ceremonies, graduations and parties! It's almost too much, and yet, how could it be too much? This is it! This is what it's all for! All the hard work of going to school and taking the tests and practicing the piece and dreaming of the celebration, this is the culmination of all that effort!  Over of the years, as I've prepared teachers' gifts and graduation cards to use, I've saved the printable files to use again in the future or make available for others as well.  Here are some of my favorites: I like these green flowers and the Pink & White cookies at Trader Joe's. I thought they made a nice little bundle for either Teacher Appreciation week or a thank you at the end of the year (if you can keep the cookies around long enough!) A Whole Lotta World Shakin'



Paul Newman has always been my biggest Hollywood Crush. My Top 5 Favorite Paul Newman movies are as follows:

5. The Long, Hot Summer
4. Cars
3. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (I made the Hubs watch this with me last night. . . he fell asleep.)
2. The Sting (I've tried to make the Hubs watch this one with me, too. . . he fell asleep.)
1. Cool Hand Luke (I made him watch this one with me when he couldn't fall asleep cause we were still dating and he had to be nice. I also made all my college roomies watch this with me once and eat hard-boiled eggs during that crucial scene. It just might be my favorite movie of all times. If I haven't made you watch this with me yet, consider it your homework from me. . . and please don't fall asleep!)

ok - so I'm laughing.... ironically enough, Cool Hand Luke is one of NOAH'S fave movies too - and I can NEVER stay awake either! I don't even know about the boiled egg part!

I'm totally heartbroken, too! Anytime you need a Paul fix let the hubby snore away and I'll come and be rapt with you! (Though I think Butch Cassidy is my very, very favorite. The egg scene makes me vaguely queasy. But then, I hate eggs.)

hospital buddies

Remember Lucy's hospital doll she named Birdie ? Well, we had a service project with the children's group at church a couple weeks ago and made a bunch of dolls just like Birdie to donate to Primary Children's Medical Center. They will go to future patients there and hopefully bring the same amount of love and comfort Birdie brought to Lucy. At our activity, we had 12 kids who stuffed, stitched, hemmed and dressed a total of 34 dolls! Patterns for dolls and robes can be found here: Doll A , Doll B , Robe A , Robe B . Download all four.

. . . they'd tell fantastic stories of medieval court life and dragons and castles! I just saw these fantastic shadow puppets at Kate's Paperie but of course they are sold out! Wouldn't it be fun to make some though? Lucy's into pirates these days. . . I could design a set of pirate shadow puppets. . . add that to the list of projects I would love to do but probably never will. Seriously.
