The project my daughters did with me!

Here's something I'm rather proud of. . . I have raised two successful babysitters. When they were starting out babysitting, I was as nervous as they were! What if something happens? Will they have to cook? What if the kids are hard to handle? I went over instructions with them right until they walked out the door. I canceled my plans and stayed home in case they called for help. When they got home, I'd want all the details and then go over what to do for next time. They got better and better with each job and my nerves calmed down when I realized they were great babysitters who knew how to keep kids safe AND have fun with them at the same time. Hearing from friends and neighbors what awesome babysitters my daughters are made me so proud!   But now they are getting older and getting different jobs, and spending more weekend nights with friends rather than babysitting, they're ready to pass the torch on to younger babysitters. We had the idea to put together a guide/kit ...

The Bag Tag. . .

I'm behind on three tags so I'm going to try to catch up. Tag #1, the Bag Tag. . . I was tagged by Katherine to share what's in my bag. Well, here is my latest and greatest bag, a gardening tote with all the essentials. . . a fabulous birthday gift from my parents. I can hardly wait to don the hat and the sloggers and get out in my new yard, that's right, I said new yard. We just bought a house and for the first time in a long time I'll have a yard to tinker around in! (Jamshack ladies, let's not bring up the fact that we killed the lawn and several of the bushes way back when in Provo, I'm starting fresh with this house and it will be totally different, I'm more mature now). It has rose bushes and a tulip border and an apricot tree AND an ivy hedge with a picket gate you walk through to get to the back yard, my own secret garden. I'm so excited about it and this bag will get plenty of good use. . .

And I tag A. Porter, A. Pratt, J. Geddes, Missy, Sarah, and Nicole P. . . what's in your bag? You may take a picture or just describe it and then post on your blogs!
