The project my daughters did with me!

Here's something I'm rather proud of. . . I have raised two successful babysitters. When they were starting out babysitting, I was as nervous as they were! What if something happens? Will they have to cook? What if the kids are hard to handle? I went over instructions with them right until they walked out the door. I canceled my plans and stayed home in case they called for help. When they got home, I'd want all the details and then go over what to do for next time. They got better and better with each job and my nerves calmed down when I realized they were great babysitters who knew how to keep kids safe AND have fun with them at the same time. Hearing from friends and neighbors what awesome babysitters my daughters are made me so proud!   But now they are getting older and getting different jobs, and spending more weekend nights with friends rather than babysitting, they're ready to pass the torch on to younger babysitters. baby boy fabric


I'm entering a fabric design contest on Spoonflower, Project Selvage, where the winner would get to design a line of baby boy fabric for Michael Miller Fabrics! But I can only enter one design. Help! Which one should I enter?

YOu are so talented. That is such a tough decision, cause immediately I loved the space one. All the fun colors and all, however the other prints are very unique and stand out to me. I love your color chooses very modern and fresh upcoming, The orange is exciting and bold, yet the blue is safe but still uniquely different. This is so tough. I wish you could submit all four. THEY ARE ALL SO WONDERFUL and I know why you are asking for our opinion. I don't know which one to tell you. I guess I would say what stood out first to me, but then again your designs are so much asymmetrical and random which to me screams unique and talented and say a lot about you as a great designer, cause not everyone could come up with that.

Okay I totally over analyzed this question too long and still I don't have an answer for you. I lOVE THEM ALL.

I love all four Jul! I can totally imagine them in my favorite chic fabric shop. If I must, I'd choose the blue background with the bears.

hospital buddies

Remember Lucy's hospital doll she named Birdie ? Well, we had a service project with the children's group at church a couple weeks ago and made a bunch of dolls just like Birdie to donate to Primary Children's Medical Center. They will go to future patients there and hopefully bring the same amount of love and comfort Birdie brought to Lucy. At our activity, we had 12 kids who stuffed, stitched, hemmed and dressed a total of 34 dolls! Patterns for dolls and robes can be found here: Doll A , Doll B , Robe A , Robe B . Download all four.
