Graduation and Teacher Gift Printables - End of the School Year Goodies!

Image
Here it is, Maycember! Once the month of May starts it quickly snowballs into a continuous stream of concerts, recitals, final games, awards ceremonies, graduations and parties! It's almost too much, and yet, how could it be too much? This is it! This is what it's all for! All the hard work of going to school and taking the tests and practicing the piece and dreaming of the celebration, this is the culmination of all that effort!  Over of the years, as I've prepared teachers' gifts and graduation cards to use, I've saved the printable files to use again in the future or make available for others as well.  Here are some of my favorites: I like these green flowers and the Pink & White cookies at Trader Joe's. I thought they made a nice little bundle for either Teacher Appreciation week or a thank you at the end of the year (if you can keep the cookies around long enough!) Two color options available in case you are low on ink!  LINK TO LISTING Cowboy Caviar f...

week 2: in which grandparents save the day and lucy realizes the world has not ended

My mom stayed with me for just over two weeks and really came to the rescue. . . not only did she do the dishes, the laundry, drove me around, painted our downstairs apartment, and kept me sane, she also entertained and spoiled Lucy. . .

We tried to do some of our normal everyday routine things so Lucy wouldn't think life as she knows it was over. Freinds came to visit to keep active and happy. . .

We went to gymnastics to get some energy out.

Mom's other responsibility was to cuddle the baby. . . (she's good at it!)

This may be the chillest baby in the world. . .

In the midst of all the excitement, we also had a major project going on at the house. . . an eight foot concrete wall going between us and the neighbor. . . with a three foot footing. . . which means a huge hole and a huge pile of dirt.

and a queen of the hill. . .

The night before her birthday party, she did what my dad describes as a double-somersault down the sidewalk (see how useful that gymnastics is?) and sustained multiple injuries. . .

Here's the damage the next day. . .

The party had a bug and bee theme. . . perfect for our little naturalist and busy bee.

My dad and Mike's parents came in for the weekend and we put all the grandparents to work helping with the picnic/party.

Thanks to all the help, we had a fun party. And thanks to all the guests who made it a great day for Lucy.
Emmie was center of attention the next day when she was blessed. She's wearing the dress my sisters and I all wore when we were babies. Lucy kept saying it was too big for her.

My parents also helped with lots of yard beautification and Lucy satisfaction.

It was a wonderful week and we couldn't have done it without family.
