Let's peel back these layers!

juliannlaw Here is a closeup of the endpapers in my debut picture book, THE WORKD’S LONGEST SOCK. I work digitally in Adobe Photoshop but the program doesn’t do it all for me! I knit all the pixels by hand! Haha! I do have things I do to help me work quickly and efficiently, though, like using layers. Here you get to see me take off those layers one by one till we are back at nothing but a background. The World's Longest Sock is now available on  Amazon ,  Barnes and Noble ,  Target , or wherever you  buy books !

My March

Things I liked about my March:
  1. Shamrock Shakes
  2. Cadbury Mini Eggs. . . and you know they'll be impossible to find in April, so you have to buy them in March. (Thank you, someone out there on photobucket for the photo).
  3. My mom coming in town. . .
  4. Lone Star Taqueria. . . we saw it one night on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives, tried it out, loved it and probably went back every weekend in March.
  5. Things starting to bloom, first of all my forsythia
  6. Somebody got a passport!
  7. Tulips for my anniversary. . . number 8 this year!
  8. Birthday gifts! Wahoo!
  9. Oh, and my favorite part of every month:
Things I didn't like about my March:
  1. My new weight, thanks to Cadbury Mini Eggs and Shamrock shakes (see photos above).
  2. Too many visits to the doctor. This is the small pharmacy the 3 of us amassed throughout the month.
  3. Snow on my blooming forsythia.
  4. My new age. . . its one of those tough ones that end in a 0 or 5.

I always think of you when I see Shamrock Shakes. You introduced me to those back in our BYU days. I haven't even had one this year. Jane was just telling me about Lone Star. I need to go there. I need to get out a little more.

What a busy month you had! How did I miss out on those shakes!? Where have I been? At least I didn't miss out on the mini eggs... the best holiday candy OF ALL TIME! And I love the shoes, TOO CUTE! Lucy is looking like a little girl, she's adorable as always! Peace

I love this post! You take such great pictures. We'll have to try the taqueria!

I remember growing up with a forsythia bush and it was ALWAYS the first thing to bloom. Most of our Easter pics were in front of it, avoiding the rest of the dead yard!

And, hey, if you have no other babies to making a new, beautiful quilt for... my new one would love one!!
I just came back and realized that Dan announced his pregnancy... Not so, says the one who is sick every night! I am actually logged in as me this time.
