Let's peel back these layers!

Image
juliannlaw Here is a closeup of the endpapers in my debut picture book, THE WORKD’S LONGEST SOCK. I work digitally in Adobe Photoshop but the program doesn’t do it all for me! I knit all the pixels by hand! Haha! I do have things I do to help me work quickly and efficiently, though, like using layers. Here you get to see me take off those layers one by one till we are back at nothing but a background. The World's Longest Sock is now available on  Amazon ,  Barnes and Noble ,  Target , or wherever you  buy books !

We're in!

We moved into the house over the weekend! Wahoo! Major accomplishments include: all dishes are unpacked, all lights are in and working, laundry room is running (nonstop, for the last 24 hours, btw), fridge is stocked, first meal cooked in new kitchen (chicken taco salad), wireless and connected again, garden planted.

Things not yet done: before and after pictures to post, bathroom, curtains, wall-hangings, lawn mowed.

Incidentally, I posted this ad in the local Craig's List today. . .

that's awesome! We totally have a neighbor kid with a truck and a lawn mower if you still need someone - oh, you probably met him - he was checking on Max when you were house sitting.
