Let's peel back these layers!

juliannlaw Here is a closeup of the endpapers in my debut picture book, THE WORKD’S LONGEST SOCK. I work digitally in Adobe Photoshop but the program doesn’t do it all for me! I knit all the pixels by hand! Haha! I do have things I do to help me work quickly and efficiently, though, like using layers. Here you get to see me take off those layers one by one till we are back at nothing but a background. The World's Longest Sock is now available on  Amazon ,  Barnes and Noble ,  Target , or wherever you  buy books !

March - Inspiration Board

I know we're already 11 days into the month, but here is my inspiration board for the month. . . a small collection of things that make me happy when I look at them. I rotate stuff through every month or so, depending on my mood and whatever strikes me. No theme really, except that I like the way it looks together. Oh, and that fortune is possibly the best one I've ever received, it says, "Your talents will be recognized and rewarded." It may stay on my inspiration board all year. . . I'm putting it out there to the universe, Oprah.

ok, seriously! I totally have an inspiration board too - I just love the idea of having little reminders of things you like and that make you happy and well, inspire, of course.
So after this morning, we were all talking about how Lu is the cutest little bug ever, just in case you were wondering :)
