happy super/fat tuesday

What a day! I think they should pass out beignets and king cake at the voting booths today instead of "I voted" stickers and tootsie-rolls. . . but no beads, please, voting booth volunteers . . . just leave those festive sweaters on.

So, I need to post this picture of Mitt Romney.I'm officially declaring my endorsement of the velvetmitt.com website. . . you've got to see this incredible velvet painting of Mitt Romney! Hilarious! Not that I'm voting for him necessarily, but I love the website and the painting and the funny story behind it, it was commissioned as a Christmas present to an unsuspecting (and, as yet, unaffiliated) wife. Did it work? Has she been persuaded to vote for Mitt today in the primaries? We'll have to ask Alyse later today. . . and, for the record, I was not able to find any velvet pictures of the other candidates to post. . .
