Let's peel back these layers!

juliannlaw Here is a closeup of the endpapers in my debut picture book, THE WORKD’S LONGEST SOCK. I work digitally in Adobe Photoshop but the program doesn’t do it all for me! I knit all the pixels by hand! Haha! I do have things I do to help me work quickly and efficiently, though, like using layers. Here you get to see me take off those layers one by one till we are back at nothing but a background. The World's Longest Sock is now available on  Amazon ,  Barnes and Noble ,  Target , or wherever you  buy books !

things i wish i'd done for christmas

So these are a few of the many things I just didn't get around to doing for Christmas this year, but I wanted to!
  1. April's super cool ornament challenge
  2. print downloadable gifttags from amy karol
  3. photograph my christmas baking like amy karol
  4. send out christmas cards. . . i designed them (see above), i just didn't print, address and send them.
  5. quilt some potholders to go with the cookie cutters we gave to siblings this year
  6. build an upside-down snowman
  7. make these cool pincushions from Heather Bailey for all my crafty friends
  8. host a bad holiday sweater party
  9. christmasy cupcakes
  10. make a christmas tree skirt out of the beautiful fabric a friend brought back from China last year. . . (see below)

I love the Christmas card-even if it didn't get sent in the mail.

k, you can still do the ornament challenge. My new camera came via UPS man about 20 minutes ago and then I'm re-doing all my ornament pics (I left them all out for this purpose). And I have a friend who did an ugly-sweater party and I thought it was the coolest idea ever! Your Christmas card is so cute too, you are so creative!!! Let me know if MishaLulu throws in any 12-18m boy items in with your loot! SO JEALOUS!
